🌟 POP’s Weekly Encouragement
A new word of hope every Monday from Prince of Peace Church
This Week's Message –March 23, 2026 through March 30, 2026
✨"From TGIF to Thank God For The Cross"✨
📖Scripture Focus: Isaiah 53: 5 (KJV)
"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed".
As we move closer to Good Friday, the world often says, “TGIF—Thank God it’s Friday,” celebrating the end of a long week and the start of rest or enjoyment. But for believers, Good Friday carries a much deeper meaning. It’s not just about the end of a work week but it’s about the day Jesus gave His life so that we could truly live.
Good Friday reminds us of the sacrifice, the suffering, and the overwhelming love that was poured out on the cross. What looked like a day of defeat was actually the beginning of victory. Jesus endured pain so that we could experience healing, freedom, and hope.
This week, let’s shift our perspective. Instead of only celebrating Friday as the end of the week, let’s remember the cross—the ultimate expression of love and redemption.
Be encouraged this week:
-
“TGIF” can mean Thank God for the cross
-
Jesus’ sacrifice made a way for our healing and freedom
-
What looked like loss became the greatest victory
-
God’s love was fully displayed through Christ’s sacrifice
-
Because of the cross, we have hope beyond every situation
At Prince of Peace, we reflect on the power of the cross and the price that was paid for each of us. This is a time to draw closer to God, to remember His sacrifice, and to walk in gratitude for the gift of salvation.
As you move through this week, let your heart be filled with thankfulness—not just because it’s Friday, but because of what Jesus did on that Friday.
